Wale Releases “WYFL” as 2026 WNBA Finals Anthem
Wale released the official 2026 WNBA Finals anthem titled “WYFL” on Monday, October 19. The anthem serves as the soundtrack for the matchup between the Golden State Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream.
The WNBA rolled out the track as the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries chased their first titles. The WNBA said of the anthem that it “made this one for the W.”
The title “WYFL” stands for “Who You Feeling Like?” The song includes shoutouts to Angel Reese and Gabby Williams.
Wale released the full song on his own YouTube channel. The listing on that channel names the WNBA as a collaborator on the track.
Reese is the league’s Defensive Player of the Year and is in her first season with Atlanta.
Williams finished second in the Defensive Player of the Year award vote and became Golden State’s first All-Star starter this year. She scored 26 points in the Golden State Valkyries’ 68-64 win in Game 1.
Wale is reportedly one of the most talented artists in rap and has been in the game for two decades.
The song arrived before Game 2 at San Francisco’s Chase Center. The Atlanta Dream beat the Golden State Valkyries 79-65 in Game 2, tying the series at one game each.
What do you think of Wale’s “WYFL” as the 2026 WNBA Finals anthem for the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries?
